From 1980 to 1994, Sergey Lovtsov worked in the USSR PTO, in the USSR State Committee for Inventions and Discoveries (in the department of discoveries). He occupied the position of deputy chairman of the Science-and-Technology Council of the USSR State Committee for Inventions and Discoveries as well as the head of the department of science-and-technology of the USSR State Committee for Inventions and Discoveries. In 1994, Sergey Lovtsov founded Patent & Law Firm YUS and to this date he has been the company head.
